Junior Squad

The US All-Star Federation provides competition rules and team guidelines for competition cheer squads to follow. In addition to the skills listed below, all levels compete jumps and dance combinations in their routines.

Junior Squad (Ages 9-13)

USASF Level : 1-2
Tumbling Skills:

Level 1 - Cartwheels, round-offs, back walkovers, front walkovers, handstands and handstand forward rolls
Level 2 - Standing and round-off back handsprings, front handsprings

Stunts: Level 1 - Half/prep level extensions with cradles, full extensions supported by side stunts, single-leg stunts at the thigh stand level, shoulder sits and stands
Level 2- Full extensions with cradles, single-leg stunts at the prep/half level, extended single-leg stunts braced by side stunts, straight basket tosses

SUMMER 2010 SKILL CLINIC:
Dates: August 2-5 (Monday-Thursday), 3-6 p.m.
Cost: $85.00 (cash or checks made payable to “JI All-Stars” only)
Open To: Ages: 5-18, all skill levels
How to Register: Please email megtrott@gmail.com to reserve your spot for this skill clinic. We will teach dance, motions, jumps, stunts, and tumbling.

FALL 2010/SPRING 2011 JUNIOR CHEER SQUAD PRACTICE TIMES:
Sundays, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (Practices start August 15, 2010)
Optional tumbling class on Fridays, 5:00-6:00 p.m.

* There will be a skill evaluation day on August 8th from 2:00-3:30 p.m. (ages 9-10) or 2:00-4:00 p.m. (ages 11-13) in order to determine team levels for the upcoming season. Everyone will be placed on the appropriate team for their age group unless otherwise directed by our staff and everyone will make a team. All skills will be taught the day of the evaluation and no prior experience is necessary.

**All accounts from previous seasons must be paid-in-full in order to participate in the JIAS program.**
