Meet Our Staff

FULL-TIME STAFF

Theresa Padron
Theresa is our Program Director and has been running our gymnastics programs for the past 11 years. Prior to this she and her husband owned their own gymnastics business for 20 years.

She has over 30 years of teaching experience with all programs including Preschool, Recreation, and Team. She has coached girls to National Levels and also helped them attain college scholarships. She is USAG Pro Member and USAG Safety Certified and CPR/First Aid Certified.


Kristen HuntKristen Thompson
Kristen is our Head Team Gymnastics Coach and has led our gym’s competitive and profile program since August 2006. She was a gymnast for 14 years and a level 10 gymnast at Greenville Gymnastics. Kristen won the S.C. state all around champion six different years and graduated from Eastside High School (Greenville, S.C.) in 1999. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in PRTM - Sports Management from Clemson University in 2004.

Kristen has coached all levels for the last 11 years, from Preschool classes to Level 10 team gymnasts. She has coached at Greenville Gymnastics (Greenville, S.C.), Easley gymnastics (Easley, S.C.), WEGA gymnastics (Asheville, N.C.), Arkansas Athletics and Arts Center (Searcy, AR), and now Charleston Gymnastics (Charleston, S.C.). She is a USAG Pro Member and is also USAG Safety and CPR/First Aid Certified.


Maria FoxMaria Fox
Maria has been in gymnastics since she was four years old and competed at level 10 with Charleston Gymnastics for five years. She is a founding member of the Clemson Gymnastics Club team at Clemson University, where she earned a degree in Architecture.

Maria has coached at Charleston Gymnastics for over six years, and enjoys working with all levels and ages, including Preschool, Recreation, and Team.


PART-TIME STAFF

Meg Trott
Meg began coaching at Charleston Gymnastics in 1996 and has over ten years of experience teaching Preschool, Recreation, All-Star Cheer and Team levels. When she was younger, she took several years of dance and gymnastics, and was reintroduced to the sport as a cheerleader at James Island High School, where she served as co-captain/captain and choreographed routines for statewide competitions, in addition to participating in softball and track.

Meg earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the College of Charleston in 2002 and completed her Master’s degree in Communication in May 2009. She currently works as a marketing/design consultant, and is a USAG Pro Member, USAG Safety Certified, and credentialed through the USASF Cheer Association.
